QUICK ANSWER04

When does a project become DESAL-SWRO XL?

Move to DESAL-SWRO XL when production exceeds the PM / PM-C catalog range, when continuous duty or redundancy is required, or when intake, pretreatment, RO, post-treatment and controls must be engineered as one integrated plant.

DESAL-SWRO XL ENGINEERING GUIDES

One industrial envelope. Three design decisions.

The confirmed public range is continuous from 36 to 600 m³/day. No intermediate capacity bands or model codes are treated as approved products.

INTEGRATED PLANT ARCHITECTURE

Engineered as one water-production system.

DESAL-SWRO XL connects the intake, pretreatment, high-pressure process, membranes, post-treatment and controls into one maintainable plant.

Discuss the process
01

Intake & pretreatment

Screening, media or membrane pretreatment, dosing and SDI control according to the source.

02

High-pressure section

Pump selection, pressure control and energy recovery defined for the design point.

03

RO trains

Membrane array, recovery, flux and parallel-train architecture sized for stable production.

04

Post-treatment & control

Remineralization, disinfection, flushing, CIP, instrumentation and remote supervision.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Designed around the duty—not only the flow.

The same nominal capacity can require a different process depending on uptime, water quality, intake conditions and operating environment.

INDUSTRIAL SWRO FAQ

Answers before concept design.

01When should a project move from DESAL-SWRO PM / PM-C to DESAL-SWRO XL?

DESAL-SWRO XL is the correct engineering path when required production exceeds the compact PM / PM-C range, when continuous industrial duty or redundancy is required, or when the intake, pretreatment and site integration must be designed as one complete plant.

02Are the XL capacity bands fixed catalog models?

No. The bands show the current engineering envelope from 36 to 600 m³/day. The final DESAL-SWRO XL configuration, number of trains, recovery, membrane array, materials and guaranteed output are defined from verified project data.

03Which feed-water information is required?

A current seawater analysis is required together with conductivity or salinity, temperature range, turbidity, SDI where available, organics, microbiology, intake description and seasonal variation.

04Can DESAL-SWRO XL include redundancy and remote monitoring?

Yes. Duty/standby equipment, parallel RO trains, automatic flushing, instrument redundancy, remote monitoring and alarm integration can be included according to the required availability level.

05Can the same system be supplied inside a container?

Yes. When rapid deployment, weather protection or factory integration is required, the engineered process can be packaged as a BOX DESAL containerized plant. Container layout is confirmed after process and site requirements are frozen.
